Welcome to Tasca La Farmacia

reservations tasca la farmacia

Welcome to Tasca La Farmacia: two locations, one shared Madrid craving.

We’re launching our blog with a simple confession: Madrid has a thousand kitchens, but few places make you want to return for that croquette, that cod, or that octopus. At Tasca La Farmacia, we’re two spaces with one shared vision: to cook simply, using quality ingredients, and serving up a tempting bar.

Diego de León, 9 (Barrio de Salamanca)

Between Lista and Goya streets, our restaurant in the Salamanca District is ideal for a casual lunch of hearty stews, traditional tapas, or a leisurely dinner.

  • Homemade croquettes: creamy, golden, and so good you’ll want another round.
  • Confit artichoke hearts (each): tender and crispy, irresistible for sharing.
  • Cod in pil-pil sauce: rich and flavorful, perfectly cooked.
  • Broken eggs with garlic prawns: delicious and fragrant.
  • Russian salad and tomato with tuna belly: classic dishes done right.

Poeta Joan Maragall, 19 (Bernabéu)

Just steps from the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, the bar invites you to linger over tapas, while the dining room is perfect for slow-cooked meats. Ideal before or after a Real Madrid match, a concert, or for a business lunch in Chamartín.

  • Grilled octopus with mashed potatoes: tender octopus, grilled over hot coals, and flavorful potatoes.
  • Slow-cooked beef cheek: juicy, glazed, and perfect for a hearty meal.
  • Aged picanha (cut to order): deep flavor and cooked to perfection.
  • Cantabrian anchovies with bread and tomato: pure umami.
  • Madrid-style tripe (Friday and Saturday)

Our must-tries, straight to the point

If it’s your first time, order something to share. Here, the classics are expertly prepared, along with the occasional seasonal treat.

  • Cod prepared four ways: pil-pil style, Basque-style, grilled, or breaded.
  • Soup dishes available Monday through Sunday: from salmorejo and leek and potato soup to lentils, chickpea stew, and tripe; on weekends, creamy rice with king prawns.
  • A selection of Spanish cheeses and hand-carved Iberian ham.
  • Mini desserts to finish off without overindulging: tiramisu, creamy cheesecake, crème brûlée…

Two neighborhoods, two atmospheres

Salamanca district or Bernabéu? At Diego de León, the pace is one of hearty, leisurely meals; at Poeta Joan Maragall, it’s all about grilled food and relaxed snacking. Whichever you choose, you’ll find honest cuisine and attentive service.
